The Big Send Off

With much anticipation and trepidation the family sends off Grandma and Grandpa off to the Singapore Mission. We will miss you, but we are so happy you are serving the people of SIngapore/Malyasia. Wonderful examples for all of us!

Locks of Love

After much deliberation, we decided it was time to cut Emma's hair. The night before the big cut, we were talking with Emma as she was looking in the mirror and she came up with a wonderful idea! "We can send my hair to uncle T", she exclaimed! We have talked about sending her hair to 'Locks of Love' where they take people's hair and make wigs for cancer victims. Not that Uncle T has cancer, but she thought maybe he could use some more hair.

She looks as sweet as ever, but we still miss her long locks too. She aged almost a whole year over night! The pics tell the story.

For Family Home Evening we decided to retry working on this blog. We lost our password, so we couldn't update our blog or even respond to yours for the past few weeks. We have now reset our password and are on our way to becoming bloggers extraordinaire!

Our little snowman is getting more hunched over every day. It's amazing that he has lasted this long.

We are all wondering what will become of 2009. What mountains will we have to climb? What songs will we try to sing? Where will the birds fly to this Spring? So many questions for me and all of you and here comes Obama to the rescue!

Happy Days are here again, the skies above are clear again, so let's sing a song of cheer again. Happy Days are here again!

Hello Family!

Hello Family, Just a few tidbits about our week after Thanksgiving. On Saturday afternoon, we continued our grand tradition started by Scott and Lori of going to Idaho to cut down our Christmas Tree. We had a great time with Mike and Kara and all the kids had fun sliding down the mountain in their snow pants. We found some beautiful trees again this year and made it down the mountain before pitch dark. A big THANKS to Mom and Dad for an amazing Thanksgiving at "The Pines." Ethan had the opportunity with his C.A.P (Civil Air Patrol) group to spend the day out at ATK (Thiokol) for some instruction in rocket science and the experience of watching the static test. They also got to take down the flag and help park cars for the test. Today (Sun.), he was down to Hill Air Force Base for a non-denominational religious service and the opportunity to do the Flag Ceremony there. Emma finished her last day of Pre-school at USU which she has loved. We opted out of sending her next semester so I could have her all to myself before I send her out into the big bad world (kindergarten) next year. McKelle continues to play indoor soccer and made a nice goal on Monday against an older team. She is learning a song on the piano to play in Sacrament Meeting on the 21st and at Seminary. Hallie is singing her little heart out during the month of December for various Christmas programs and parties. Last Sunday we attended the Lutheran Church with our good friends in our neighborhood. We had a little exchange with them and came to appreciate the differences and the similarities of our two religions. The Christmas season is officially here.....even if the snow isn't. We hope you are all well and happy.
